The Insect Inn Ultra™, Terminator and Fly Patrol all brilliantly eliminate the worries associated with other forms of flying insect control. For example, the problem with “bug zappers” is that they are extremely unsanitary. A bug zapper’s sole functionis to blow insects to bits and scatter their remains all over whatever lays in the vicinity. However, with our patented trapping system, flies and other flying insects are fully contained inside the units. Once caught, they are there to stay.
Ultraviolet light has a seemingly magnetic pull on flying insects—especially flies. Our units use special UV light and strategically placed UV Booster Reflectors to draw flies already indoors to the units. The UV light they use is harmless to humans but fatally attractive to insects.
Our family of fly trapping units pose none of the contamination risks of chemical fly control systems. Our trapping system is environmentally friendly and largely biodegradable. They meet all applicable USDA and FDA guidelines.
As flying insects become trapped, the units' motorized mechanisms carry them into the take-up reel of the cartridges. The reel-to-reel action of the units are constantly presenting a fresh adhesive surface and fresh attractants. All three systems will continuously eliminate thousands of flies using a single cartridge which can remain effective for 60 days (Insect Inn Ultra and Terminator) or 30 days (Fly Patrol)!
Glueboards, on the other hand, often become useless after only a few days - their stationary trapping surface covered by dust, grease, dirt and maybe even a few flies. Maintenance of our fly control systems is also much easier and more sanitary. With the old glueboard system, you were left with no choice but to handle a glueboard that might be carpeted with flies. Definitely one of the most unpleasant and unsanitary chores imaginable.
Our cartridge system, on the other hand, silently rolls the trapped insects inside a disposable cartridge. Only the cartridge is handled...never a fly-covered trapping surface. We’ve blended sex pheromones and food scents right into the glue used on our trapping surface which is cleverly printed with decoys appearing to be feasting flies. In doing so, the fly’s basic feeding and reproduction instincts are triggered. This combination of attractants and decoys on our unique trapping surface gives our flycontrol systems a powerful trapping capability.
In every way, our fly control systems have been designed with efficiency and effectiveness in mind. They will silently put an end to your flying insect disturbances and the spread of diseases they carry. All of our fly control systems are non-toxic, clean, effective fly elimination systems that absolutely work!
These fly traps work for controlling flies when other systems don't!!!

Why is it important to control flies?
House flies have been shown to carry the disease organisms causing typhoid fever, cholera, summer diarrhea, dysentery, tuberculosis, anthrax and ophthalmia, as well as parasitic worms.1 Flies contaminate food. They have been linked to many illnesses including those caused by E-coli, Salmonella, and Streptococci.
How do fly traps work?
These units are non-zapping, non-toxic fly traps! All units utilize ultraviolet light to attract flies to the trap (flies find UV irresistible). The flies are then lured to the glue on the slowly moving 60 day auto-advancing cartridge by the food scents, decoys on the trapping surface, and sex pheromones that gives the units powerful trapping capabilities.
How many unit(s) do I need ?
Most Restaurants, Convenience Stores, and other Food Service establishments need 2 or more Insect Inn units for the customer area and 1 or more Terminator units for the Kitchen, Food storage areas, etc.
Where should unit(s) be located? Terminator placement - In kitchen areas and other non-public areas of restaurants.
Insect Inn Ultra placement - Service passageways between kitchen and seating area of restaurant; above deli/pastry cases; restaurant walls away from windows; above dirty dish collection areas; and food order counters. Line of sight placement is important, flies must have direct view of UV light. Units should be installed just above eye level to avoid view of lamp(s) and cartridge.
Can the Insect Inn Ultra and Terminator units be used to catch other flying insects?
The primary focus of the units is to catch flies. However, any other flying insect attracted to ultraviolet light will be attracted to these units.
Why use an auto advancing cartridge? The auto advancing cartridge makes changing the cartridge more sanitary and easier. The cartridge system rolls the trapped flies into the cartridge so you never handle the fly covered trapping surface. The Insect Inn TM Ultra has a surface area of almost 584 sq. inches. The average glue board only has 68 sq. inches.
Can the cartridge be rewound for reuse?
No. our 60 day auto advancing cartridge is for single use only .There is a risk of exposure to bacterial contaminated surface by rewinding the cartridge. USDA and FDA have regulations preventing these type of exposures.
Can I replace the lamp and/or cartridge with items from the local Hardware Store?
No. The lamps used in our units have special characteristics designed to catch the flying insects. These lamps are designed specifically for our units. The cartridge is a patented cartridge and can be purchased from a FirstChoiceOKC.com.
Can unit(s) be used outdoors? No. These units not approved for outdoor use.
What colors do you offer?
The very attractive cover can be easily painted to fit any decor. The outer shell will accept any Krylon paint. Do not paint the back surface of the shell top or the light slits in the front of the unit, these areas are essential to the effectiveness of the unit! Note: If the unit has been painted, it is non-returnable.
